Me + 2000 = XP
Combining the two lines of operating systems for the most reliable and easy to use Windows to date.

What is Windows XP?
Windows XP or eXPerience is the next generation operating system from Microsoft that will merge the two Windows product lines:
  • 9x Line: Windows 95, 98, 98 Second Edition (SE), Millennium Edition (Me)
  • NT Line: Windows NT 4.0, 2000
The result is more reliable, stable and secure computing experience that can be found previously on the NT line but also rich in multimedia and more compatible with existing applications devices like the 9x line.

It comes in two different client-desktop flavors:

  • Home Edition for home users, gamers and multimedia enthusiasts.
  • Professional Edition for business users, networked-offices, laptop users and other critical-usage systems.
For more in-depth look at the new features of Windows XP, go to the Microsoft's Official Windows XP web page.
