Basic
  • Usage: Intended for basic usage like surfing the Net and basic office applications. Not for playing advance games.
  • Memory: 4MB to 8MB
  • Chip Likes: Intel Integrated Graphics (built-in on every Intel-based motherboards) or any built-in graphics chip on the motherboard or standard graphics card 
Office Applications
  • Usage: Intended for basic-advance office applications plus video conferencing
  • Memory: 4MB to 16MB
  • Chip Likes: Intel Integrated Graphics (built-in on every Intel-based motherboards), S3 Savage4 
Games and Multimedia
  • Usage: Intended for running games to be more realistic and viewing movies like VCDs. * DVDs can also be played but it is recommended to buy a separate DVD decoder card specifically designed for DVD playback.
  • Memory: 16MB to 64MB
  • Chip Likes: 3DFx Voodoo 3 (4 or 5), NVidia Riva TNT 2, NVidia GeForce
  • DVD decoders: Creative PC-DVD Encore DVD decoder card, ATI Radeon 
Advance Applications
  • Usage: CAD designing that requires more monitors and other advanced applications
  • Memory: 32MB to 64MB
  • Chip Likes: ATI Radeon, ATI All-In-Wonder, Matrox G400, GeForce 2 (or later)
